Karolina Strobel was born on 3 May 1849 at Beresina, Bessarabia, Russia.1 She was the daughter of Martin Strobel and Christine Barbara Hahn.1 Karolina Strobel married, at age 19, Philipp Jacob Breitling, age 20, son of Mathaus Breitling and Dorothea Fredrich, on Saturday, 31 October 1868 at Russian Empire.1 Karolina Strobel died on 26 February 1931 at Stanton, Mercer County, North Dakota, at age 81 years, 9 months and 23 days.2
Karolina Strobel was also known as Caroline.2 She and Philipp Jacob Breitling emigrated on 9 June 1889 from Beresina, Bessarabia, Russia, America and settled, first in Scotland, South Dakota at the age of 40.2 She was widowed at age 69 by the death of Philipp on 3 March 1919.1
