Seymour Sholder was born on 19 March 1920.4,5 He was the son of Max Sholder and Minnie Schechter.1,3,2 Seymour Sholder married Barbara Homer, daughter of Louis Homer and Virginia Rudy, circa 1946.2,3,4,6,7 Seymour Sholder died on 22 August 1986 at Skokie Valley Community Hospital, Skokie, Cook County, Illinois, at age 66 years, 5 months and 3 days.4,5 He was buried on 29 August 1986 in the Shalom Memorial Park, located in Palatine, Cook County, Illinois.4

Dr. Seymour Sholder, 66, a gynecologist and obstetrician who chaired the obstetrics department at Skokie Valley Hospital, died Wednesday at the hospital.
Dr. Sholder, of Lincolnwood, had a private practice with offices at 6212 N. Lincoln and in the Skokie Valley Hospital Professional Building. He also was a staff member at Edgewater Hospital and Lutheran General Hospital and was associate professor at the University of Illinois College of Medicine.
Dr. Sholder was a 1944 graduate of the University of Illinois College of Medicine and served as a Navy Lieutenant in the Pacific theater during World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Bobbie, and three daughters, Karen Friedman, Marcy Spiwak and Susie.
Services will be at 11 a.m. today at Weinstein Bros. Chapel, 111 Skokie Blvd., Wilmette. Burial will be in Shalom Memorial Park, Palatine.4 According to the Social Security Administrations Death Index Seymour's last known residence was Chicago, Cook County, Illinois.5
Barbara Homer's obituary on 14 August 2007 Chicago, Cook County, Illinois, stated that Seymour Sholder was her husband and preceeded her in death.6
