     Claire Sholder was born on 14 May 1916 at Illinois.4,3 She was the daughter of Max Sholder and Minnie Schechter.1,2 Claire Sholder married Harold Onixt, son of Dave Onixt and Anna [—?—], circa 1939.2,4,5 Claire Sholder died on 10 September 1980 at Skokie Valley Community Hospital, Skokie, Cook County, Illinois, at age 64 years, 3 months and 27 days.4,3 She was buried on 12 September 1980 in the West Lawn Memorial Park, located in Illinois.4,6
     Claire Sholder was also known as Clara.1 She appeared on the census of 9 January 1920 in the household of Max Sholder and Minnie Schechter at Chicago, 34th Ward, Cook County, Illinois.

     Claire was listed in Max Sholder's obituary on 4 April 1943 in the Chicago Tribune, printed in Chicago, Cook County, Illinois, as his daughter.1

     Claire was listed in Minnie Schechter's obituary on 25 May 1969 Chicago, Cook County, Illinois, as her daughter.2 As of circa 1975, Claire Sholder and Harold Onixt lived at 9240 Gross Point Road, Skokie, Cook County, Illinois.4 Her obituary was published on 11 September 1980 Chicago, Cook County, Illinois. Her obituary stated:

     Claire Onixt, nee Sholder, beloved wife of Harold; dear mother of David (Diane) and Michelle (James) Williams; adored grandmother of Micah, Ashley and Mark fond sister of Dr. Seymour (Barbara) Sholder, Ruth (Charles) Fox and Bernice (George) Altman. Services Friday, 3:30 p.m. at Weinstein Brothers North Shore Chapel, 111 Skokie Blvd., Wilmette. Visitation at time of services. In lieu of flowers please make contributions to your favorite charity. Interment West Lawn Memorial Park. Information 286-5700.6 Her obituary was published on 11 September 1980 Chicago, Cook County, Illinois. Her obituary stated:

     Mrs. Claire Onixt, 64, wife of Harold Onixt, a retired Chicago police sergeant, died Wednesday in Skokie Valley Community Hospital, Skokie. Mrs. Onixt lived at 9240 Gross Point Rd., Skokie. Also surviving are a son, David; a daughter, Mrs. Michele Williams; three grandchildren; a brother; and two sisters. Services will be at 3:30 p.m. Friday in the chapel at 111 Skokie Blvd., Wilmette.4 According to the Social Security Administrations Death Index Claire's last known residence was Skokie, Cook County, Illinois.3

     The former Claire Sholder was listed in Harold Onixt's obituary on 18 October 1983 Chicago, Cook County, Illinois, as his deceased wife.5
