Irvin Hafer1

     Irvin Hafer was born on 10 January 1883 at Newberry, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.2,1 He was the son of Thomas C. Hafer and Annie [—?—].1 Irvin Hafer married, at age 29, Esther Ann Hoffa, age 29, daughter of Wilson Benjamin Hoffa and Charlotte Mahaffey, on Wednesday, 27 March 1912 at Newberry, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.1,3 Irvin Hafer died on 14 September 1946 at Pennsylvania at age 63 years, 8 months and 4 days.2 He was buried in the Buchanan Baptist Church Cemetery, located in Old Lycoming Township, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.2
     He appeared on the census of 19 April 1910 in the household of John B. Hafer and Lauretta Manetta Sholder at Williamsport, 7th Ward, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania. Irvin Hafer was a plasterer in 1920. He and Esther Ann Hoffa appeared on the census of 3 January 1920 at Williamsport, 7th Ward, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania. Irvin Hafer and Esther Ann Hoffa appeared on the census of 26 April 1930 at Old Lycoming Township, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania. As of October 1939, Irvin Hafer and Esther Ann Hoffa lived at Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.

     The obituary for Esther Ann Hoffa on 30 May 1974 in the Williamsport Sun-Gazette, printed in Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania, listed Irvin Hafer as her deceased husband.3
