Esther Clara Sholder was born on 9 November 1895 at Newberry, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.2 She was the daughter of Henry L. Sholder and Nettie Rae Fullerton. Esther Clara Sholder married, at age 17, Lewis Franklin Jarrett, age 21, son of Charles Shaner Jarrett and Sarah Elenora Schilling, on Thursday, 3 April 1913 at Newberry, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania, by the Reverend J. R. Baker.1,3,4 Esther Clara Sholder died on 30 April 1981 at Albany, Albany County, New York, at age 85 years, 5 months and 21 days.2 She was buried in the Menands Cemetery, located in Albany County, New York.
As of 1900, Esther Clara Sholder was living with Henry L. Sholder and Nettie Rae Fullerton at 31 Webb Street, Newberry, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.5 Esther Clara Sholder appeared on the census of 19 April 1910 in the household of Henry L. Sholder and Nettie Rae Fullerton at Old Lycoming Township, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania. Esther Clara Sholder and Lewis Franklin Jarrett appeared on the census of 20 January 1920 at Old Lycoming Township, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania. Esther Clara Sholder and Lewis Franklin Jarrett appeared on the census of 10 April 1930 at Albany, 18th Ward, Albany County, New York.
