Samuel Sholder1,2

M, (April 1837 - 12 February 1920)
     Samuel Sholder was born in April 1837 at farm of Christian (Scholderer) Sholder, Lycoming Township, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.3 He was the son of Christian August Scholderer and Anna Margareta Lutscher.4,2 Samuel Sholder married Mary Ann Creasey, daughter of Adam Crecy and Elizabeth Flexer, circa 1865. Samuel Sholder died on 12 February 1920 at Newberry, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania, at age 82 years and 10 months. He was buried on 15 February 1920 in the Wildwood Cemetery, located in Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.
     Samuel's surname has also been spelled as Shaulder. He became a widower at the age of 65 with the death of Mary on 27 July 1902. Samuel Sholder appears in family photograph on 24 August 1912 Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania. This was taken as a part of a family reunion in which this photograph appeared in the Sunday Grit on 1 September 1912.
