     Elizabeth B. Sholder was born in April 1833 at Centre County, Pennsylvania.4,5 She was the daughter of Christian August Scholderer and Anna Margareta Lutscher.1 Elizabeth B. Sholder married Thomas Mahaffey, son of William Mahaffey and Susan Bowers, in 1854.6,1,3,5 Elizabeth B. Sholder died on 14 June 1916 at age 83 years and 2 months. She was buried on 16 June 1916 in the Mound Cemetery, located in Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.
     Elizabeth B. Sholder was probably included as a free white female, between the age of 5 and under 10 years, in Christian August Scholderer's household, enumerated 1 June 1840 in the Sixth Census for the United States of America, Lycoming Township, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.7

Elizabeth B. Sholder was listed as living in the household of Christian August Scholderer in the Seventh Census for the United States of America, enumerated on 19 September 1850 Lycoming Township, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania, age 17 born in Pennsylvania.8

She was enumerated on 28 July 1860 as a resident in the household of Thomas Mahaffey in the Eighth Census for the United States of America, in the State of Pennsylvania, Lycoming County, Old Lycoming Township as "Eliz W. Mehaffey" age 27 being born in Pennsylvania.9 Elizabeth B. Sholder and Thomas Mahaffey appeared on the census of 10 June 1880 at Hughesville, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania. Elizabeth B. Sholder and Thomas Mahaffey appeared on the census of 2 July 1900 at New Albany, Bradford County, Pennsylvania. Elizabeth B. Sholder and Thomas Mahaffey appeared on the census of 3 May 1910 at Lycoming Street, Old Lycoming Township, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania. Elizabeth B. Sholder appears in family photograph on 24 August 1912 Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania. This was taken as a part of a family reunion in which this photograph appeared in the Sunday Grit on 1 September 1912. She appears in family portrait on 24 August 1912.
