Gottleib Pfefferle1

     Gottleib Pfefferle was born in November 1845 at Württemberg.1 He was the son of Louis Pfefferle and Beata [—?—].1 Gottleib Pfefferle married, at age 24, Katherine Sauter, age 17, daughter of Martin Sauter and Barbara Haigis, on Tuesday, 18 October 1870 at Greenfield, Franklin County, Massachusetts, by the Reverend S. H. Lee.1
     Gottleib's surname has also been spelled as Pfeffer.1 The following article about Gottleib was published on 28 August 1871 in the The Greenfield Gazette and Courier, printed in Greenfield, Franklin County, Massachusetts. This article stated:
