Lulu Belle Mahaffey was born on 23 May 1898 at Fountain, Oklahoma Territory, USA.1 She was the daughter of Edward August Mahaffey and Serritha Belle Frazer. Lulu Belle Mahaffey married, at age 19, James Ivan Sims, age 32, son of James Ganaway Sims and Martha Miranda West, on Tuesday, 29 January 1918 at Kemmerer, Lincoln County, Wyoming. Lulu Belle Mahaffey died on 12 May 1971 at Kemmerer, Lincoln County, Wyoming, at age 72 years, 11 months and 19 days. She died due to a heart attack.1
