     Emma Loucelia Vollman was born on 26 February 1924 at Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.3,5,6 She was the daughter of Christopher Edward Vollman and Edyth K. Sortman.1,7,6,8 Emma Loucelia Vollman married, at age 21, Jack M. Lukens, age 25, son of Wally T. Lukens and Dorothy Ruby Sholder, on Sunday, 23 December 1945 at Newberry Methodist Church, Newberry, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania, by the Reverend L. Elbert Wilson.1 Emma Loucelia Vollman and Jack M. Lukens were divorced circa 1955. Emma Loucelia Vollman married [—?—] Albers after 1956.2 Emma Loucelia Vollman died on 3 July 2004 at Pocatello, Bannock County, Idaho, at age 80 years, 4 months and 7 days.3,9,6 She was cremated on 3 July 2004 by the Dokken-Nelson's Bozeman-Belgrade Crematory.10,6
     Emma Loucelia Vollman also went by the name of Lucy.4,6 The marriage announcement for Emma Loucelia Vollman and Jack M. Lukens was published on 30 December 1945 in the The Grit, printed in Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania. This announcement stated:

     Miss Loucelia Vollman Becomes Bride of Jack Lukens

NUPTIALS were performed for Miss E. Loucelia Vollman and Jack Lukens in an evening candlelight service Dec. 23 [1945] in the Newberry Methodist Church by the Rev. L. Elbert Wilson. Miss Vollman is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. C. E. Vollman, of 1124 Dewey Avenue. Her husband's parents are Mrs. Eugene Winter, of 619 Trenton Place, and Wallie Lukens of this city.

The bride was given in marriage by her father. Her gown was of fine white net, and the finger-tip length veil of matching material was attached to a coronet of orange blossoms. White pompons and gladiolas were in her arm bouquet.

Mrs. Glen English, of this city, was her sister's matron of honor. Bridesmaid was Mrs. Arvid Nygren, another sister. Usherets were Mrs. Howard Coon, Miss Audrey Fisher, Miss Joanne Sortman, and Mrs. Edgar Vollman. Best man for his brother [actually cousin] was Monroe Lukens. Oragnist and soloist were Miss Louise Stryker and Mrs. Clyde Leach.1
Her obituary was published on 4 July 2004 in the Idaho State Journal, printed in Pocatello, Bannock County, Idaho. Her obituary stated:

     POCATELLO - Emma LouCelia "Lucy" Albers, 80, of Pocatello, Idaho passed away Saturday, July 3, 2004. She was born Feb. 26, 1924, to Christian E. and Edyth K. "Sortman" Vollmann in Williamsport, Pa. She attended the University of Rochester, N.Y., and became a registered nurse. Lucy worked as a nurse in Williamsport, Idaho Falls, and Pocatello.

Not only did she give to her family and friends, but her giving nature also extended into the community as a volunteer for elections and blood drives. She also enjoyed reading and watching television.

She is preceded in death by her parents and a son, Tim Lukens. She is survived by her daughter, Tina Albers of Bozeman; son, Jack L. Lukins [Lukens] of Lockheaven [Lockhaven], Pa; sisters, Effie Nygren of Fisher's Eddy, N.Y; Dene English of Idaho Falls, Idaho; and Helen Thomas of Mt. Dora, Fla.

There are no funeral services planned at this time. Cremation has taken place at Dokken-Nelson's Bozeman-Belgrade Crematory. Should friends desire, memorial contributions may be made to the Bozeman Deaconess Hospice, 931 Highland Blvd., Suite 3200, Bozeman, MT 59715, or to the American Cancer Society, 550 N. 31st St., Suite 103, Billings, MT 59101.6
According to the Social Security Administrations Death Index Emma's last known residence was Pocatello, Bannock County, Idaho.3
