     Robert William Sholder was born on 10 February 1946 at Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.7,5,4 He was the son of Frederick Oscar Sholder and Ethel Irene Pryor.4,3,1 Robert William Sholder married, at age 37, Janice Lee Walton, daughter of Marian E. Lowe, on Saturday, 22 October 1983 at Saint Paul's United Methodist Church, Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania, by the Reverend David W. Schmuck.3,4 Robert William Sholder died on 23 February 2008 at Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania, at age 62 years and 13 days.5,4 A memorial service for Robert William Sholder was held Bethel Presbyterian Church, Bottle Run, Old Lycoming Township, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania, on 1 March 2008 at 11 a.m. with Pastor Lisa Dabney officiating.4
     Robert William Sholder was also known as Bob.4

     Robert William was listed in Ethel Irene Pryor's obituary in April 1998 in the local paper, printed in Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania, as her son.1

     The obituary dated on 28 May 2006 for Richard Delmont Sholder from in the Williamsport Sun-Gazette, printed in Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania, listed Robert William Sholder as his brother.2 His obituary was published on 25 February 2008 Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania. His obituary stated:

     Robert W. "Bob" Sholder, 62, of 550 Sholder Road, died Saturday, Feb. 23, 2008 at home following a brief illness.

     Bob and his wife, the former Janice L. Walton, celebrated their 24th wedding anniversary on Oct. 22, 2007.

     Bob worked as a heavy equipment operator for PennDOT with 30 years of service. He had the fourth highest safety record in the state. Bob was a member of Bethel Presbyterian Church, a member of the American Rifleman and enjoyed hunting, fishing, trapping and farming.

     Born Feb. 10, 1946 in Williamsport, he was the son of Frederic O. and Ethel I. Pryor Sholder.

     Surviving in addition to his wife are sons, Robert W. Jr. and Frederic O. both of Williamsport; two nephews, a niece and a great niece. Bob was preceded by two brothers, Richard and Dale Sholder.

     Memorial Services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at the church, 2758 Bottle Run Road with Pastor Lisa Dabney officiating. Visitation will be Saturday from 10 to 11 a.m. at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to the church or North Central PA Dialysis Clinic, 1660 Sycamore Road, Montoursville, PA 17754. Knight-Confer Funeral Home.4
