Kate Sweeley was born on 22 September 1891 at North Bend, Chapman Township, Clinton County, Pennsylvania.3,1 She was the daughter of Franklin Peter Sweeley and Ellen E. Gheen.1,5 Kate Sweeley married, at age 19, Wilbur Henry Murray, age 20, son of Michael C. Murray and Clara Sholder, in June 1911 at Newberry Methodist Church, Newberry, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania, by the Reverend J. E. Bucke.6,1,2 Kate Sweeley died on 10 May 1978 at home of Wilbur and Kate Murray, 277 Grimesville Road, Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania, at age 86 years, 7 months and 18 days.1,2,3 She was buried on 13 May 1978 in the Wildwood Cemetery, located in Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania. The funeral service was officiated by Reverend Karl S. Fetterman.1

She and her husband would have celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary next month.
Born at North Bend Sept. 22, 1891, she was a daughter of Frank P. and Ellen Gheen Sweeley.
Surviving, besides her husband, are a son, Frank G., of Seal Beach, Calif; two daughters, Miss Aline Murray, at home, and Mrs. Donald H. Jackson, of this city, four grandsons and five great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Knight's, 1914 Memorial Avenue, with the Rev. Karl S. Fetterman, her pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Wildwood Cemetery. There will be no visitation.1 The Social Security Death Index gives the last residence of record for Kate as Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.3
