     Kate Sweeley was born on 22 September 1891 at North Bend, Chapman Township, Clinton County, Pennsylvania.3,1 She was the daughter of Franklin Peter Sweeley and Ellen E. Gheen.1,5 Kate Sweeley married, at age 19, Wilbur Henry Murray, age 20, son of Michael C. Murray and Clara Sholder, in June 1911 at Newberry Methodist Church, Newberry, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania, by the Reverend J. E. Bucke.6,1,2 Kate Sweeley died on 10 May 1978 at home of Wilbur and Kate Murray, 277 Grimesville Road, Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania, at age 86 years, 7 months and 18 days.1,2,3 She was buried on 13 May 1978 in the Wildwood Cemetery, located in Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania. The funeral service was officiated by Reverend Karl S. Fetterman.1
     Kate Sweeley was also known as Catherine.5 She appeared on the census of 1 June 1900 in the household of Franklin Peter Sweeley and Ellen E. Gheen at Pine Creek Township, Clinton County, Pennsylvania. Kate Sweeley appeared on the census of 2 May 1910 in the household of Franklin Peter Sweeley and Ellen E. Gheen at Old Lycoming Township, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania. Kate Sweeley and Wilbur Henry Murray appeared on the census of 21 January 1920 at Old Lycoming Township, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania. Kate Sweeley and Wilbur Henry Murray appeared on the census of 25 April 1930 at Old Lycoming Township, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania. Kate Sweeley and Wilbur Henry Murray appeared on the census of 3 April 1940 at Old Lycoming Township, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania. Her obituary was published on 10 May 1978 in the Williamsport Sun-Gazette, printed in Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania. Her obituary stated:

     Mrs. Wilbur H. Murray

     Mrs. Kate S. Murray, 86, wife of Wilbur H. Murray, of 277 Grimesville Road, died at her home at 1 a.m. today, Wednesday, May 10, 1978.

     Mrs. Murray was a member of Newberry United Methodist Church and its McKendree Reilly Sunday School Class.

     She and her husband would have celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary next month.

     Born at North Bend Sept. 22, 1891, she was a daughter of Frank P. and Ellen Gheen Sweeley.

     Surviving, besides her husband, are a son, Frank G., of Seal Beach, Calif; two daughters, Miss Aline Murray, at home, and Mrs. Donald H. Jackson, of this city, four grandsons and five great-grandchildren.

     The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Knight's, 1914 Memorial Avenue, with the Rev. Karl S. Fetterman, her pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Wildwood Cemetery. There will be no visitation.1 The Social Security Death Index gives the last residence of record for Kate as Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.3
