     Philipp Friederich was born on 13 September 1845.1 He was the son of Philipp Friederich and Regina Flaig.1 Philipp Friederich married, at age 22, Maria Katharina Ziegler, age 17 on Sunday, 10 November 1867 at Neu Elft, Bessarabia, Russia.1 Philipp Friederich died on 1 November 1908 at age 63 years, 1 month and 19 days.1 He was buried in row 2, grave 14, in the Dennewitz Cemetery, located in Hutchinson County, South Dakota.1
     He and Maria Katharina Ziegler immigrated on 17 May 1877 to New York City, New York County, New York, aboard the ship "Vanderland" at the age of 31. They left their home in Bessarabia, Russian Empire (Ukraine).1
