Sharon Kay Weisz was born on 23 March 1950 at Bon Homme County, South Dakota.1 She was the daughter of Elmer A. Weisz and Juanita Velda Uttecht.1 Sharon Kay Weisz died on 15 November 2017 at Mounds View, Ramsey County, Minnesota, at age 67 years, 7 months and 23 days.1 She was buried in the Rose Hill Cemetery, located in Scotland, Bon Homme County, South Dakota.1
Her obituary was published sometime in November 2017 in the local paper, printed in Minnesota. Her obituary stated:
Sharon K. Weisz, 67, passed away at her residence in Mounds View, MN on November 15, 2017. Sharon attended elementary and high school in Scotland, SD and was a graduate of the class of 1968. After graduation she moved to Blaine, MN with her parents where she worked for a year prior to enrolling in Stewart School of Cosmetology in Sioux Falls, SD. She graduated in 1970 and worked as a beautician in a salon in Blaine for two years. After that she gravitated toward an office career working for companies which included: Travelers Insurance, Land O’ Lakes, and EMPI, Inc., a medical supply company, where she retired in 2015 after being a devoted employee for 30 years.
When she was not working she enjoyed various crafts, cooking, reading, music and socializing with friends. Sharon treasured the children and grandchildren of her closest and dearest friends and was a proud aunt of her only nephew. Sharon encountered and suffered with various health issues over the past years, but remained very independent and full of determination not to let her health prevent her from doing what she loved to do. Although she lived in Minnesota – her true passion and many precious memories remain in Scotland. It is there where she will be laid to rest, lovingly alongside her parents and brother.
Sharon is survived by sister Judy (Doug) Schuette, brother Bruce (Lisanne) Weisz, and nephew Matt Schuette.
She was preceded in death by her parents Elmer and Juanita Weisz, and brother Orville Weisz.
A brief graveside memorial service will be held on June 23, 2018 at Rose Hill Cemetery at 11:00 AM. Gary Jerke, (cousin) will be officiating. All are welcome to attend. (A Celebration of Life was held previously in Minnesota on December 9, 2017.)1
