     Donald H. Jackson was born on 4 March 1917 at South Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.5 He was the son of Harvey Brown Jackson and Lydia A. Reaser.5 Donald H. Jackson married, at age 21, Gladys M. Murray, age 23, daughter of Wilbur Henry Murray and Kate Sweeley, on Saturday, 3 September 1938.1,2,3,4,5 Donald H. Jackson died on 31 March 2009 at Williamsport Home, Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania, at age 92 years and 27 days.5 He was buried on 2 May 2009 in the Wildwood Cemetery, located in Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania. The funeral service was officiated by Reverend John R. Shafer.5
     Donald H. Jackson graduated in 1936 from South Williamsport High School, located in South Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.5 He was employed by the former Bethlehem Steel Corp for 38 years between 1941 and 1979.5 As of May 1978, Donald H. Jackson and Gladys M. Murray lived in Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.1,2

     Donald H. Jackson was listed in the obituary for the former Gladys M. Murray, on 16 August 2006 in the Williamsport Sun-Gazette, printed in Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania, as her husband.4 His obituary was published on 4 April 2009 Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania. His obituary stated:

     Donald H. Jackson, Sr., 92, of 1900 Ravine Road, died Tuesday, March 31, 2009 at the Williamsport Home.

     Don's wife, the former Gladys M. Murray, died on August 13, 2006.

     Don was a member of the Faxon-Kenmar United Methodist Church and a former choir member.

     Don was a Navy veteran of World War II, a 1936 graduate of the South Williamsport High School, member of John F. Laedlein Lodge 707, F. & A. M., Williamsport Consistory and their choir.

     Don enjoyed music very much and was a member of the Williamsport Music Club. He had his own quartet and was a member of an octet.

     Don retired from the former Bethlehem Steel Corp. in 1979 after 38 years of service.

     Born March 4, 1917 in South Williamsport, he was the son of Harvey B. and Lydia A. Reaser Jackson.

     Surviving are sons, Dr. Donald H. (Carol), Jr. of Topeka, KS and Frederick E. of Apalachin, NY; grandchildren, Richard and David Jackson and Laura Griffith; great grandsons, Henry and Evan Jackson.

     Don was predeceased by a brother, Albert H. Jackson.

     Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 2, 2009 at his church, 1301 Clayton Avenue with the Rev. John R. Shafer officiating. Burial will be at Wildwood Cemetery. There will be no visitation.
