Kathleen Lauterborn was born on 28 September 1919 at Albany, Albany County, New York.1,3 She was the daughter of Joseph Bender Lauterborn and Elizabeth Shepard.3 Kathleen Lauterborn married Lewis Franklin Jarrett Jr., son of Lewis Franklin Jarrett and Esther Clara Sholder, circa 1942.2,3 Kathleen Lauterborn died on 10 February 2009 at Inpatient Hospice Unit, Lehigh Valley Hospital, Lehigh County, Pennsylvania, at age 89 years, 4 months and 13 days.1,3 She was buried on 13 February 2009 in the Woodland Memorial Park, located in Allentown, Lehigh County, Pennsylvania.3
She was widowed at age 84 by the death of Lewis on 25 May 2004.4,2 Her obituary was published on 12 February 2009 in the The Morning Call, printed in Allentown, Lehigh County, Pennsylvania. Her obituary stated:
Kathleen L. Jarrett, 89, of Allentown, died Feb. 10, 2009 in the Inpatient Hospice Unit at Lehigh Valley Hospital. She was the wife of the late Lewis F. Jarrett Jr. Born in Albany, N.Y., she was the daughter of the late Joseph Lauterborn. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Allentown. She was a former member of the Allentown Womens Club.
Survivors: Sons, Paul W. Jarrett and his wife, Lynne, of Macungie, Lewis F. Jarrett III and his wife, Tina, of Schnecksville; daughter, Carol, wife of Roger Mayes, of Lower Macungie Township; brother, Raymond Lauterborn of Albany, N.Y; six grandchildren, two great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a son, Dixon D. Jarrett.
Services: 2 p.m. Friday, Feb. 13, 2009 in the Schantz Funeral Home Inc., 250 Main St., Emmaus. Friends may call from 1-2 p.m. in the funeral home.
