     Floyd Bixler Sholder was born on 9 June 1906 at farm of Christian (Scholderer) Sholder, Old Lycoming Township, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.4,3,2 He was the son of Harry Ellsworth Sholder and Clara Irene Bixler.5 Floyd Bixler Sholder first married Margaret Reed circa 1926. Floyd Bixler Sholder married a second time, at age 23, Helen Elizabeth Shaffer, age 18, daughter of Frank George Shaffer and Sara Jane Kibbie, on Saturday, 7 June 1930 at Duboistown, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.6 Floyd Bixler Sholder died on 9 July 1976 at Williamsport Hospital, Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania, at age 70 years and 1 month.6,3,2 He was buried in the Buchanan Baptist Church Cemetery, located in Old Lycoming Township, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.6,2
     He appears in family photograph of Harry, Clara, Verna and Floyd Sholder circa 1915. He appeared on the census of 3 May 1940 in the household of Clara Irene Bixler at Old Lycoming Township, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania. Floyd Bixler Sholder was a machinest for a local shop then he did some farming as well. As of 1973, Floyd Bixler Sholder and Helen Elizabeth Shaffer lived at Williamsport RD 2, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.1

     Floyd Bixler was listed in the obituary for Clara Irene Bixler, on 30 June 1975 in the local paper, printed in Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania, as her son.5 According to the Social Security Administrations Death Index Floyd's last known residence was Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.3
