     Clarence P. Bartlett was born on 20 October 1914 at Pennsdale, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.2,1 He was the son of Eli C. Bartlett and Caroline Sholder.3 Clarence P. Bartlett married Orpha Elizabeth Wright, daughter of Russell Edward Wright and Carrie Elizabeth Eisler, in 1938.3 Clarence P. Bartlett died on 12 August 2004 at Valley View Nursing Center, Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania, at age 89 years, 9 months and 23 days.3,1 He was buried on 16 August 2004 in the Twin Hills Memorial Park, located in Fairfield Township, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania. The funeral service was officiated by Reverend Derrick Neill.3
     Clarence P. Bartlett lived with his sister Edna and her husband William Roller for a period of time. He became a widower at the age of 83 with the death of Orpha on 19 November 1997.3,4 As of 2002, Clarence P. Bartlett lived at 2755 Orchard Avenue, Montoursville, Pennsylvania.3

     Clarence P. Bartlett the brother of Franklin H. Bartlett was listed in his obituary on 12 July 2003 in the Williamsport Sun-Gazette, printed in Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.5 His obituary was published on 14 August 2004 Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania. His obituary stated:

     Clarence P. Bartlett, 89, formerly of Orchard Avenue, and currently residing at Valley View Nursing Center, died Aug. 12, 2004, at Valley View.

     Born Oct. 20, 1914, in Pennsdale, he was the son of Eli C. and Caroline Sholder Bartlett.

     He was the widower of the former Orpha E. Wright, with whom he celebrated 59 years of marriage. She died in November 1997.

     Mr. Bartlett served in the navy aboard the USS Savanna in the Mediterranean during World War II. He retired from the former Grit Publishing Co. in Williamsport after 45 years of service and was a member of their Quarter Century Club. He was a member of the Lycoming Valley Baptist Church.

     Surviving are a son, Leroy (Joanne) Bartlett of Williamsport; two grandchildren, Christine Engel and Craig Bartlett; and four great-grandchildren.

     Predeceasing him besides his wife were his parents; three brothers, Lester, Floyd and Franklin; a sister, Edna Roller; and a grandson, Christopher.

     Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Spitler Funeral Home, 733 Broad St., Montoursville, with his pastor, Rev. Derrick Neill, officiating. Burial will follow in Twin Hills Memorial Park, Fairfield Township. Friends will be received from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Monday at the funeral home.3
According to the Social Security Administrations Death Index Clarence's last known residence was Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.1
