     Mable Viola Sholder was born on 27 October 1891 at Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.1,2 She was the daughter of Willard H. Sholder and Anna Mary Roth.3,1 Mable Viola Sholder married, at age 20, Clarence R. Kahler, age 22 on Wednesday, 24 April 1912.3,1 Mable Viola Sholder died on 22 December 1969 at Williamsport Hospital, Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania, at age 78 years, 1 month and 25 days.1,2 She was buried on 27 December 1969 in the Green Lawn Memorial Park, located in Montgomery, Clinton Township, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania. The funeral service was officiated by Reverend Charles L. Klinger.1,3
     Mable Viola Sholder appeared on the census of 4 June 1900 in the household of Willard H. Sholder and Anna Mary Roth at South Williamsport, 1st Ward, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania. Mable Viola Sholder appeared on the census of 6 May 1910 in the household of Willard H. Sholder and Anna Mary Roth at Main Street, South Williamsport, 1st Ward, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania. As of 1967, Mable Viola Sholder and Clarence R. Kahler lived at 306 Southern Avenue, South Williamsport, Pennsylvania.1 Her obituary was published on 22 December 1969 in the Williamsport Sun-Gazette, printed in Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania. Her obituary stated:

     Mrs. Mabel V. Kahler, 78, wife of Clarence R. Kahler, 306 West Southern Avenue, South Williamsport, died at 5 a.m. today, Tuesday, Dec. 23, 1969, in the Williamsport Hospital.

     She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church, South Williamsport.

     Born in Williamsport, she was the daughter of Willard and Anna Roth Sholder.

     Surviving, besides her husband, are a daughter, Mrs. Robert M. Creveling, South Williamsport; two sons, Albert T., city, and Willard J., of Bodies; eight grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.

     The funeral will be at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at Noll's, 1 East Central Avenue, South Williamsport, with the Rev. Charles L. Klinger, her pastor, officiating. Burial will be in the Green Lawn Memorial Park. Friends may call at the funeral home from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday.1
