Willard H. Sholder1,2

     Willard H. Sholder was born on 31 May 1864.3 He was the son of Charles Emanuel Sholder and Mary Anna Kinley.1 Willard H. Sholder has also been reported to have been born 31 May 1865. He first married, at age 22, Hanna Mary Mallenkopf, age 18, daughter of Jacob Franklin Mallenkopf and Catherine Kauffmann, on Thursday, 23 December 1886.4 Willard H. Sholder married a second time, at age 26, Anna Mary Roth, age 22, daughter of Reuben Roth and Ellen [—?—], on Thursday, 1 January 1891 at Newberry Parsonage, Newberry, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania, by the Reverend James W. Boal.4,2 Willard H. Sholder died on 10 February 1954 at Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania, at age 89 years, 8 months and 7 days.5 He was buried on 13 February 1954 in lot 1259, in the Wildwood Cemetery, located in Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.

He and Anna Mary Roth appeared on the census of 4 June 1900 at South Williamsport, 1st Ward, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania. Willard H. Sholder and Anna Mary Roth appeared on the census of 6 May 1910 at Main Street, South Williamsport, 1st Ward, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania. Willard H. Sholder was an ice dealer circa 1918. He appears in of grandfather and grandsons circa 1920. Pictured are Willard Kahler left, grandfather Willard Sholder and Albert Kahler. He and Anna Mary Roth appeared on the census of 10 January 1920 at South Williamsport, 1st Ward, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania. He became a widower at the age of 62 with the death of Anna on 3 September 1926.
