     George Scholderer was born on 8 March 1830 at Ross County, Ohio.6,7,8 He was the son of Jacob Friedrich Scholderer and Margaret Miller.9 George Scholderer married, at age 24, Martha Phillips, age 16, daughter of Cotman Phillips and Ophelia Shepherd, on Tuesday, 5 September 1854 at Ross County, Ohio.9,10 George Scholderer died on 14 February 1864 at Ross County, Ohio, at age 33 years, 11 months and 6 days.9 He was buried in the Greenlawn Cemetery, located in Chillicothe, Ross County, Ohio.
     In the Fifth Census for the United States of America, enumerated 1 June 1830 George Scholderer was probably included as a free white male, between the age of newborn and under 5 years, located in Jacob Friedrich Scholderer's household, Jefferson Township, Ross County, Ohio.7

George Scholderer was probably included as a free white male, between the age of 10 and under 15 years, in Jacob Friedrich Scholderer's household, enumerated 1 June 1840 in the Sixth Census for the United States of America, Chillicothe / Scioto Township, Ross County, Ohio.11

George Scholderer was listed as living in the household of Jacob Friedrich Scholderer in the Seventh Census for the United States of America, enumerated on 16 July 1850 Chillicothe / Scioto Township, Ross County, Ohio, age 20 working as a "Copper Smith" being born in Ohio.12

George Scholderer was listed as the head of household in the Eighth Census for the United States of America, enumerated on 19 June 1860 in the State of Ohio, Ross County, Chillicothe, 4th Ward as "George Scholderer," a male age 28 with an occupation as a tinsmith, being born in Ohio; no value is listed for his real estate, his personal property was valued at $75, the equivalent of $1,530 in the year 2000. We find Martha Phillips resided in the same household, as "Martha Scholderer" age 21 being born in Ohio; and Elizabeth Scholderer, as "Lizzie Scholderer" age 3 born in Ohio.13
