Golde Hinde Menkes was born in 1883 at Sassow, Kingdom of Galicia and Lodomeria, Austro-Hungarian Empire.1 She was the daughter of Moshe Leib Menkes and Sara Sosie Werber.1 Golde Hinde Menkes married Benjamin Scholder, age 20, son of Joseph Scholder and Fanny R. Hoch, on Wednesday, 11 November 1903 at Manhattan, New York County, New York.1 Golde Hinde Menkes died on 1 April 1918 at Brooklyn, Kings County, New York, at age 35 years. She was buried in the Mount Zion Cemetery, located in Maspeth, Queens County, New York.
