Joseph Scholder was born in February 1859 at Kingdom of Galicia and Lodomeria, Austrian Empire. He married Fanny R. Hoch in 1882.1 Joseph Scholder died on 20 October 1938 at age 79 years and 8 months. He was buried in the Mount Zion Cemetery, located in Maspeth, Queens County, New York.
Joseph's surname has also been spelled as Sholders. He immigrated in 1893 to America. He and Fanny R. Hoch appeared on the census of 9 June 1900 at Manhattan, New York County, New York. Joseph Scholder and Fanny R. Hoch appeared on the census of 21 April 1910 at Brooklyn, 23rd Ward, Kings County, New York. He became a widower at the age of 75 with the death of Fanny on 3 September 1934.
