Eldora Snyder was born on 1 February 1871 at Rochester, Fulton County, Indiana.3 She was the daughter of Michael Snyder and Emily Elizabeth Hoffman.3 Eldora Snyder married, at age 21, Charles F. Scholder, age 21, son of Adam John Scholder and Anna Catharine Rumboldt, on Saturday, 12 March 1892 at Rochester, Fulton County, Indiana.4,1,2,3 Eldora Snyder and Charles F. Scholder have also been reported to have been married 17 March 1892.5,2 Eldora Snyder died on 21 September 1964 at Miller Nursing Home, Rochester, Fulton County, Indiana, at age 93 years, 7 months and 20 days.3 She was buried in section 2, row 1, in the Rochester Independent Order of Odd Fellows Cemetery, located in Rochester, Fulton County, Indiana. The funeral service was officiated by Reverend William Simpson.3
Eldora Snyder was also known as Anna. Eldora Snyder was also known as Dora.5,2 She and Charles F. Scholder appeared on the census of 8 June 1900 at Rochester, Fulton County, Indiana. Eldora Snyder and Charles F. Scholder appeared on the census of 15 April 1910 at Rochester, 2nd Ward, Fulton County, Indiana. She was widowed at age 81 by the death of Charles on 25 April 1952.5,2
The former Eldora Snyder was listed in the obituary of Charles F. Scholder, on 26 April 1952 in the The Rochester News-Sentinel, printed in Rochester, Fulton County, Indiana, as his wife.5,2 Her obituary was published on 22 September 1964 Rochester, Fulton County, Indiana. Her obituary stated:
Mrs. Dora SCHOLDER, whose homemade candy delighted a whole generation of Rochester children and adults, died Monday at 8:05 p.m. in the Miller nursing home here after an extended illness. She was 93 years of age and had been a nursing home patient since Sept. 4.
Mrs. Scholder resided at 112 West Eighth street, where for over 30 years she made and sold unique candy delicacies that were unobtainable elsewhere.

Only immediate survivors are numerous nieces and nephews, including Mrs. Mary HENNON, Argos.
Last rites will be in the Zimmerman Brothers funeral home at 2 p.m. Thursday with the Rev. William SIMPSON officiating. Burial will be in the I.O.O.F. cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 3 p.m. Wednesday.3
