     Adam John Scholder was born on 5 May 1826.3 He married Anna Catharine Rumboldt circa 1855.2 Adam John Scholder died on 20 August 1874 at Fulton County, Indiana, at age 48 years, 3 months and 15 days.3 He was buried on 21 August 1874 in section 2, row 2, in the Rochester Independent Order of Odd Fellows Cemetery, located in Rochester, Fulton County, Indiana.3

His obituary was published on 22 August 1874 in the Rochester Sentinel, printed in Rochester, Fulton County, Indiana. His obituary stated:

     DIED. -Mr. ADAM SCHOLDER, one of our worthy German citizens, died very suddenly at his residence on Thursday morning. His funeral was attended on Friday by the fire department, of which he was a member, and a large concourse of mourning relatives and friends.3 His obituary was published on 27 August 1874 in the Rochester Union-Spy, printed in Rochester, Fulton County, Indiana. His obituary stated:

     DIED. -In this place Thursday morning last, at 2 o'clock, Mr. ADAM SCHOLDER, aged 48 years, three months and 15 days.

     Mr. Scholder was sick but a few days. His death was unexpected and is now lamented by all. He had been a resident of this place for many years, the latter part of which time he had been engaged in the grocery business. He leaves a wife and four children, who deeply feel the loss of a kind husband and father.3
