Karl Friedrich Scholder was born on 7 May 1833 at Alpirsbach, Oberamt Oberndorf, Schwarzwaldkreis, Württemberg.1,2 He was the son of Johannes Scholder and Christina Hainzelmann.2 Karl Friedrich Scholder married Juaquina Laws in 1865. Karl Friedrich Scholder died on 24 March 1917 at Mesa Grande Township, San Diego County, California, at age 83 years, 10 months and 17 days.
Karl Friedrich's surname has also been spelled as Shoulder.3 Karl Friedrich Scholder was also known as Frederick Scholder.4,5 He immigrated in July 1853 to America at the age of 20.1 He ended military service in 1858 as a part of the United States Calvary. He and Juaquina Laws met at the Warner Hot Springs when she was 13 years old. She helped Fredrich with some kind of ailment he was suffering from in 1858.
