     William Buerk was born on 13 December 1866 at Germany.2 He was the son of Erhard Bürk. William Buerk married Lena A. Keller, daughter of Johannes Keller and Elizabeth Minzi, circa 1902.1,2,3,4 William Buerk died on 22 December 1929 at Dayton, Montgomery County, Ohio, at age 63 years and 9 days.2 He was buried on 24 December 1929 in the Dayton Memorial Park Cemetery, located in Dayton, Montgomery County, Ohio. The funeral service was officiated by Reverend J. G. Mueller.2,4
     William Buerk was also known as Wilhelm Bürk. He and Lena A. Keller appeared on the census of 28 April 1910 at Dayton, 10th Ward, Montgomery County, Ohio. William Buerk and Lena A. Keller appeared on the census of 12 January 1920 at Dayton, 12th Ward, Montgomery County, Ohio. William Buerk was a cabinet maker in 1928.2 He, deceased, formerly lived at 126 South Sperling Avenue, Dayton, Ohio, as of December 1929.2,4 His obituary was published sometime in December 1929 in the local paper, printed in Dayton, Montgomery County, Ohio. His obituary stated:

     BUERK-William

     63 Yrs. and 9 Dys. died on Sunday, Dec. 22 at 1:10 a.m. Survived by wife Lena (Keller). Two sons, Carl and William E. and one daughter Margaret. Funeral from the residence 126 South Sperling Avenue at 1:30 Tuesday afternoon and at 2 p.m. from Third Street Lutheran Church. The Rev. J. G. Mueller officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park. Please omit flowers. Friends invited.4
