Christian Gottfred Fode was born on 29 March 1786 at Rosenfeld, Oberamt Sulz, Schwarzwaldkreis, Württemberg.1,2 He was the son of Matthias Fode and Maria Catharina Scholderer.1,2 Christian Gottfred Fode has also been reported to have been born 24 March 1786.3 He married Rosina Gauderer circa 1806.1,2 Christian Gottfred Fode died on 1 April 1845 at Borodino, Bessarabia, Russia, at age 59 years and 3 days.1,4 He has also been reported to have died 1 April 1835.3
