Marysue Shultz was born on 3 April 1939 at Bloomsburg, Columbia County, Pennsylvania.3 She was the daughter of Joseph Shultz and Thelma Johnson.3 Marysue Shultz married, at age 16, Jack Lavern Bartlett, age 19, son of Franklin H. Bartlett and Loie Luella Wright, on Saturday, 20 August 1955.4,2,5,3 Marysue Shultz died on 1 December 2019 at Divine Providence Hospital, The Gatehouse, Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania, at age 80 years, 7 months and 28 days.3 A memorial service for Marysue Shultz was held Grenoble Funeral Home, Muncy, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania, on 12 December 2019 with Reverend Timothy K. Hartzell officiating.3 Marysue Shultz was buried in the Twin Hills Memorial Park, located in Fairfield Township, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.3

Marysue began her career as a sales clerk at the former Wallace’s Pharmacy, Montoursville. She also worked at Rite Aid Pharmacy, Hess’s, J. C. Penny’s and Weis Markets for many years.
She was a former member of Muncy Presbyterian Church, where she sang in the choir.
An avid book lover, Marysue enjoyed reading, doing word search puzzles and adult coloring books. She liked playing Scrabble and Setback at the river lot, knowing she was the only woman brave enough to play with the competitive men. Marysue loved spending time with their dog, Chloe, and her family, especially camping and going out for dinner. She also enjoyed watching Penn State Football.
Surviving are two daughters and sons-in-law, Holly and Lon Singer, of Montoursville, and Heidi and Rodger Emery, of Riverside; 10 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren; and a stepsister, Shirley Anspach, of Turbotville.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by two sons, Scott and Steven Bartlett.
Friends will be received from 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 12, at Grenoble’s, 121 S. Main St., Muncy, where the memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. with Pastor Tim Hartzell, officiating.
Burial will be held privately in Twin Hills Memorial Park, Muncy.
The family will provide the flowers and suggests memorial contributions be made to either West House Personal Care Home, 616 W. Edwin St., Williamsport, PA 17701, or to The Gatehouse Inpatient Hospice Unit. Please make checks payable to Susquehanna Health Foundation and mail to 1001 Grampian Blvd., Williamsport, PA 17701.
