Glen Leroy Mosteller1,2,3

     Glen Leroy Mosteller was born on 11 February 1930 at Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.2,3 He was the son of James Kenneth Mosteller and Sarah Evans.2,1 Glen Leroy Mosteller first married Maudie Mae Sholder, daughter of Floyd Bixler Sholder and Helen Elizabeth Shaffer, circa 1950. Glen Leroy Mosteller and Maudie Mae Sholder were divorced circa 1969. Glen Leroy Mosteller married a second time, at age 42, Wilma J. Shaffer, age 39, daughter of Norman L. Shaffer and Rena Pearl Roadman, on Tuesday, 21 November 1972.2,4 Glen Leroy Mosteller died on 15 February 2007 at Lewisburg Evangelical Community Hospital, Lewisburg, East Buffalo Township, Union County, Pennsylvania, at age 77 years and 4 days.2,3 He was buried on 21 February 2007 in the Montoursville Cemetery, located in Montoursville, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania. The funeral service was officiated by Reverend Douglas M. Eberly.2
     As of 1973, Glen Leroy Mosteller lived at New Columbia RD 1, Union County, Pennsylvania.1

     Glen Leroy Mosteller the father of Clara I. Mosteller, was listed in her obituary on 19 January 1973 in the Williamsport Sun-Gazette, printed in Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.1 His obituary was published on 18 February 2007 Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania. His obituary stated:

     Glen L. Mosteller, 77, of 2173 State Route 44, Allenwood, was stricken ill in his home Thursday afternoon, Feb. 15, 2007, and was taken to the Evangelical Hospital, Lewisburg, where he was pronounced dead in the emergency room.

     Glen was born Feb. 11, 1930, near Williamsport, son of the late J. Kenneth and Sarah (Evans) Mosteller. He was married to the former Wilma J. Shaffer, who survives. They were married for 35 years.

     Glen was employed for over 55 years as an over-the-road truck driver and for the majority of those years was an owner-operator. He often pulled "Reefers." His territory included the eastern seaboard and the Midwest. He retired from full time driving in 1995 and later was a part-time employee for five years for the Watsontown Trucking Co. He received numerous safe-driving awards from the various companies he worked for.

     Glen loved the outdoors and his interests included fishing, hunting, and chopping firewood. Glen’s mission in life was to be of service to anyone.

     In addition to his wife, surviving are the following children: Leroy C. Mosteller, Muncy; Dwight (Holly) Mosteller, Williamsport; Rena (Russel) ("TWOIE") Lupold, Allenwood; W. David (Lin) Stotler, Watsontown; and Mary (N. Gene) Farley, rural Allenwood; 12 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and five sisters, Barbara Craig, Watsontown; Mary Lomicka, Calif; Ann (Jim) Hinston, Williamsport; Jane Lusk, Williamsport; and Helen Mosteller, Williamsport.

     He was preceded in death by one daughter, Clara I. Mosteller, who died in 1973; one brother, Albert; and one sister, Fannie Ohnmeiss.

     A memorial service to celebrate his life will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday, at the Watsontown United Methodist Church with the Rev. Douglas Eberly officiating. The family invites relatives and friends to share in conversation and refreshments in the social hall of the church following the service. Burial will follow in the Montoursville Cemetery.

     The family requests donations be made in Glen’s memory to the Watsontown United Methodist Church Building Fund, 11 E. Third St., Watsontown. A service of the Cronrath Funeral Home Inc., 308 Main St., Watsontown.2
According to the Social Security Administrations Death Index Glen's last known residence was Allenwood, Union County, Pennsylvania.3
