Lyle E. Wonderlich was born on 15 May 1932 at Genoa, Nance County, Nebraska.2,1 He was the son of Ralph Wonderlich and Mildred Arney. Lyle E. Wonderlich married, at age 22, Jean Lois Bennett, age 23, daughter of Ward Lorenzo Bennett and Verna Viola Sholder, on Saturday, 7 May 1955 at Bethel United Presbyterian Church, Bottle Run, Old Lycoming Township, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.3,1 Lyle E. Wonderlich died on 16 June 2000 at Lewisburg Evangelical Community Hospital, Lewisburg, East Buffalo Township, Union County, Pennsylvania, at age 68 years, 1 month and 1 day.2,1 He was buried on 20 June 2000 in the Twin Hills Memorial Park, located in Fairfield Township, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania. The funeral service was officiated by Reverend Doctor Dennis L. Otto.1
Lyle E. Wonderlich was a truck driver for Allied Moving as well as Stroehman's Bakery in Williamsport.1 He and Jean Lois Bennett never had any children. His obituary was published on 18 June 2000 in the Williamsport Sun-Gazette, printed in Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania. His obituary stated:
Lyle E. Wonderlich, 68, of 379 Gearhart Lane, died Friday, June 16, 2000, at the Evangelical Community Hospital, Lewisburg. His wife, the former Jean L. Bennet, died April 25, 1997. He worked as a truck driver for Allied Moving and Stroehman's Bakery. He was an Army veteran, and a member of the Civil Air Patrol. He was born May 15, 1932 in Nebraska. Surviving are several neices and nephews.
There will be a graveside service at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, at Twin Hills Memorial Park with the Reverend Doctor Dennis L. Otto, pastor of First United Methodist Church. There will be no visitation, and the family will provide the flowers. Arrangements are being handled by Knight-Confer's, 1914 Memorial Ave.1 The Social Security Death Index gives the last residence of record for Lyle as Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.2
