     Dale Arden Ludwig was born on 7 September 1928 at Old Lycoming Township, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.3,7,5 He was the son of LaVerne Arden Ludwig and Edna Beatrice Sholder.2,3,6,1 Dale Arden Ludwig married, at age 25, Phyllis Irene Showers on Saturday, 12 September 1953.3 Dale Arden Ludwig died on 28 October 1993 at Roseview Manor, Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania, at age 65 years, 1 month and 21 days.3,7,4,5 He was buried on 30 October 1993 in the Buchanan Baptist Church Cemetery, located in Old Lycoming Township, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania. The funeral service was officiated by Reverend John B. Bergstrom.3,7
     An obituary on 30 August 1956 in the Williamsport Sun-Gazette, printed in Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania, for Edna Beatrice Sholder listed Dale Arden as her son.1 He was the owner and operator of Dale Ludwig Florist and Greenhouse between 1960 and 1990 at Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.3

     LaVerne Arden Ludwig's obituary in June 1978 in the local paper, printed in Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania, listed Dale Arden as his son.2 His obituary was published on 29 October 1993 Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania. His obituary stated:

     Dale A. Ludwig, 65, of 2021 Misner Road, died Thursday, October 28, 1993, in Rose View Manor, where he lived for the past two months.

     He and his wife, Phyllis I. Showers, observed their 40th wedding anniversary September 12th.

     He owned and operated Dale Ludwig Florist and Greenhouse until his retirement in 1990.

     A member of Trinity United Methodist Church, he was a 50 year member of the church choir, a former church trustee, a former Sunday School superinitendent and a former member of the church's administrative board.

     An avid bowler, he was a former secretary and treasurer of the Faxon Sports League for many years.

     Born Spetember 7, 1928, in this city, he was a son of LaVerne A. and Edna Beatrice Sholder Ludwig.

     Surviving, beside his wife, are two sons, Dale A. Jr., of Cleona, and Dennis A., of State College; two daughters, Mrs. Sandra A. Kriger and Mrs. Cynthia L. Barrett, both of this city; a brother, Kenneth L., and two sisters, Mrs. K. Pearl Barnes and Mrs. Doris I. Free, all of this city and five grandchildren.

     The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Knight-Confer's, 1914 Memorial Avenue, with the Rev. John B. Bergstrom, former church pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Buchanan Cemetery, Old Lycoming Township. Friends may call at the funeral home from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday.3
According to the Social Security Administrations Death Index Dale's last known residence was Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.5

     Kenneth Larue Ludwig's obituary on 28 April 1999 Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania, stated that Dale Arden Ludwig was his brother and preceeded him in death.4
