Johannes Koenig was born on 11 September 1848 at Alexanderhilf, Odessa Province, Russian Empire.1 He was the son of Johannes Koenig and Karolina Widmaier.1 Johannes Koenig married, at age 22, Eva Katharina Herrmann, age 18 on Thursday, 3 November 1870 at Gnadenfeld, Neuburg-Schrobenhausen, Bayern.1 Johannes Koenig died on 15 January 1928 at Underwood, McLean County, North Dakota, at age 79 years, 4 months and 4 days.1
