     Christian Sigmund was born on 24 January 1776 at Sindelfingen, Oberamt Böblingen, Neckarkreis, Württemberg.1 He was the son of Jakob Friedrich Sigmund and Benedikta Margaretha Knaus.1 Christian Sigmund died on 17 May 1833 at Thurmont, Frederick County, Maryland, at age 57 years, 3 months and 23 days.1
