Christian Edward Dorhauer was born on 6 September 1906 at Sydney, New South Wales, Australia.1 He was the son of Edward August Dorhauer and Emma Dollinda Maiden.1 Christian Edward Dorhauer married Mary Beaupre Hoyle, daughter of Cornelius Joseph Hoyle and Rose Ellen Gardiner, in 1949 at Chatswood, New South Wales, Australia.2 Christian Edward Dorhauer died in December 1988 at Sydney, New South Wales, Australia, at age 82 years and 2 months.3
In the 1930's Christian Edward was running a removal business, using a team of two horses and a wagon. He slept under the wagon during overnight journeys. It is reported in the "Queen Street & District" book that his grandfather Heinrich Christian was running the business. However this is untrue as he died in 1904.2
