Lybrook circa 1952.2,3 Carl William Buerk died on 19 March 2009 at Brookhaven Nursing and Care Center, Englewood, Montgomery County, Ohio, at age 78 years, 7 months and 25 days.2,4 He was buried on 21 March 2009 in the Miami Valley Memory Gardens, located in Warren County, Ohio. The funeral service was officiated by Reverend Linda Davis.2

BUERK, Carl William "Bill" age 78 of Englewood, passed away on Wednesday, March 19, 2009 at the Brookhaven Nursing and Care Center.
Bill had retired from both NCR where he worked as a toolmaker and Delco Moraine - Delphi where he worked as a skilled tradesmen. He was a member of Concord United Methodist Church in Englewood.
He is survived by his wife of nearly 57 years, Betty F. (Lybrook) Buerk, son and daughter-in-law, David and Cynthia Buerk of Dayton, daughter, Joan (Larry Leonard) Stringer of Vandalia, sister, Betty Solomon of Dayton, brother and sister-in-law, Robert & Mary Wieland of Miamisburg, 7 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, and many other family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father and step-mother, Carl & Mary Buerk, mother and step-father, Ethel (Marshall) & Ervin Wieland, sister, Loretta Woodward, and brothers, John & Vernon Wieland.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 21, 2009 at the Kindred Funeral Home (400 Union Blvd., Englewood) with Rev. Linda Davis officiating. Interment will follow the service at Miami Valley Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends on Saturday, from 9:00 a.m. until time of services at the funeral home. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, envelopes will be provided.
