On the morning of May 29, 2013, Karen Greenawalt was surrounded by her family as she passed from this world into the arms of God.
During Karen's 61 years of life, her love was endless for her family, friends and her Lord. Her life was defined by her passion to care for others as a daughter, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, friend, and as a devoted wife and soul-mate to Robert Greenawalt for 41 years.
As she fought a courageous battle with cancer, her biggest concern was not the pain she was in, but that she was not able to help others the way she was used to doing. Although she lost her ability to do the physical things to help those she loved, she continued to be a rock for the family, teaching us though her strength and preparing us for her passing.
Her loved ones are comforted in knowing that she no longer needs to battle the pains of this world. Now as an angel in heaven she will be able to watch over all of us, and welcome us to heaven with her radiant smile when the time comes.
