Clarence H. Brooks was born on 27 October 1922.5 He was the son of Oscar George Brooks and Laura Elizabeth Alexander.1 Clarence H. Brooks first married, at age 23, Lois E. Livermore, age 23, daughter of Dewey Eckard Livermore and Helen Marie Sholder, on Saturday, 8 June 1946 at Saint John's Evangelical Church, Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania, by the Reverend E. J. Bayne.6,3 Clarence H. Brooks married a second time Kay [—?—] circa 1983.4 Clarence H. Brooks died on 22 January 2002 at Volusia-Flager Hospice Center, Port Orange, Volusia County, Florida, at age 79 years, 2 months and 26 days.4,5

In a candlelight ceremony at 8 o'clock last evening, Miss Lois E. Livermore, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Dewey Livermore, of Williamsport RR 2, became the bride of Clarence H. Brooks. The double-ring service was preformed by the Rev. E. J. Bayne in St. John's Evangelical Church before the altar adorned with white snapdragons and palms. Miss Mabel Updegraff played traditional wedding selections and accompanied Burdell Fessler, soloist.
Miss Livermore wore a white satin gown fashioned with a sweetheart neckline, long sleeves, and a gathered full skirt terminating in an aisle-wide train. Her long veil with lace insertions fell from a pearl studded tiara. She carried an arm bouquet of calla lilies.
Bridal Party
Miss Merle E. Sholder, of Voorheesville, N.Y., cousin of the bride, was Miss Livermore's only attendant. She was attired in a gown of aqua nylon made with a tight fitting bodice which buttoned down the back. The dress had three-quarter-length sleeves which ended in ruffles corresponding to the rows of ruffles which formed a bustle effect on the long skirt. Her matching shoulder-length veil was attached to a braided headdress of self material. She carried an arm bouquet of tailsman roses and baby's breath.
The bridegroom, son of Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Brooks, of Williamsport RD 2, was attended by Joseph F. Taylor, of this city, as best man. Nelson Livermore and Ralph Liddic were ushers.
A reception for 75 guests was held at the home of the bride's parents following the service. For her wedding trip to New York City, Mrs. Brooks selected a grey-beige wool crepe suit with navy accessories and an orchid corsage. Mr. Brooks recently was discharged from the army.6

Mr. Brooks was a veteran of World War II and was stationed in England with the 8th Airforce. He worked 44 years for Avco Lycoming, now Textron Lycoming, before retiring in 1985. After his retirement, he worked as a consultant for Textron Lycoming at Crane Cams in Daytona Beach, FL.
He was a member of Colony Community Church, Daytona Beach, FL. He was a member of the Bar Hill Hunting Club, Hillsgrove, the Wheel Inn, Ralston and the Hamilton Club, Morris. His hobbies included hunting, fishing and woodworking.
Mr. Brooks was predeceased by his wife, Lois Livermore and a son, Donald Brooks. He is survived by his wife, Kay, at home; a stepdaughter, Nancy Ryan of Portland, ME; a stepson, Timothy Ryan of Harrisburg; a sister, Wanda Snyder of Colorado Springs, CO; two grandchildren, Todd Brooks and Katrina Brooks Shimp of Williamsport and five great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that donations be made to Hospice of Volusia/Flagler, 3800 Woodbriar Trail, Port Orange, FL 32119.4 According to the Social Security Administrations Death Index Clarence's last known residence was Daytona Beach, Volusia County, Florida.5
