     Elwyne Streyle was born on 23 June 1946 at Yankton, Yankton County, South Dakota.2 He was the son of Raymond Streyle and Alma Bueber.1 Elwyne Streyle died on 7 November 2010 at Menno-Olivet Care Center, Menno, Hutchinson County, South Dakota, at age 64 years, 4 months and 15 days.1,2 He was buried on 13 November 2010 in the Menno Cemetery, located in Menno, Hutchinson County, South Dakota.2
     His obituary was published sometime in November 2010 in the local paper, printed in Hutchinson County, South Dakota. His obituary stated:

     Elwyne Streyle, age 64, of Menno, peacefully entered into the arms of his loving Savior early Sunday, November 07, 2010 at the Menno-Olivet Care Center, Menno, South Dakota. Funeral services will be 10:30 AM, Saturday, November 13, 2010 at Grace Lutheran Church, Menno, with Rev. Brad Danielson officiating. Burial will be in the Menno Cemetery. Visitations will be 3 to 8 PM, Friday, at Grace Lutheran Church, Menno, with the family present at 7:00 PM, and then one hour prior to the service at the church. The Aisenbrey-Opsahl-Kostel Memorial Chapel, Menno, is in charge of arrangements. Pallbearers will be Glenn Bueber, Alan Bueber, Bill Headley, Lance Birger, Allen Mehlhaf, Gordon Streyle, Edward Sayler, and Illyan Everette. Honorary Pallbearers will be the staff at the Menno-Olivet Care Center.

     Elwyne was born June 23, 1946 to Ray and Alma (Bueber) Streyle at Yankton, SD. Elwyne graduated from Menno Public Schools and Southern State College at Springfield, SD. He farmed with his father while pursing his love of working with wood. Elwyne was a skilled carpenter who worked in the Menno area, Sioux Falls, and Loveland, CO. After returning to Menno he established Country Wood Products which he operated until his health failed. For the past seven years, Elwyne was a resident of the Menno-Olivet Care Center.

Elwyne is survived by his mother Alma of Menno, SD; sister Jarrett Gjerde of Loveland, CO; niece Teah (Illyan) Everette of Castle Rock, CO; great nephew Mason Everette of Castle Rock, CO; several aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father, Ray, and his grandparents. Elwyne had a special relationship with his Streyle grandparents and spent many hours with them and was especially close to his grandfather Ferd Streyle.2
