Edward James Dorhauer1

     Edward James Dorhauer was born on 7 April 1890 at Paddington, Municipality of Woollahra, New South Wales, Australia.1 He was the son of Otto Christian Dorhauer and Margaret Jane Plunkett.1 Edward James Dorhauer married, at age 25, Winifred Angela Chapman, age 19, daughter of Joseph Edward Chapman and Janet Gore, on Tuesday, 21 March 1916 at Saint Mary's Church, Waverley, New South Wales, Australia.1 Edward James Dorhauer died on 5 November 1975 at Sydney, New South Wales, Australia, at age 85 years, 6 months and 29 days.1 He was buried on 7 November 1975 in the Eastern Suburbs Memorial Park, located in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia.1
     He was invited to stay at the farm in Tinonee called "Rye Hill" and it was there that he met Winifred Chapman, dressed in a long white frock with blue ribbons in her long fair curls. It was love at first sight and they married. They lived in one of the the flats owned by the Dorhauers untill they purchased their own home at 66 Moncur street Woollahra.1
