     Gerard E. Hausen was born on 16 April 1891.3 He married Elsie Scholterer, daughter of George Scholterer and Wilheimina [—?—], circa 1922.1,2 Gerard E. Hausen died in December 1968 at age 77 years and 7 months.3 He was buried on 9 December 1968 in the Rosehill Cemetery, located in Chicago, Cook County, Illinois.1
     His obituary was published on 8 December 1968 in the Chicago Tribune, printed in Chicago, Cook County, Illinois. His obituary stated:

     Gerard E. Hausen, beloved husband of Elsie; father of Wilma [Roger] Schumacher; grandfather of three. Services Monday, Dec. 9, 3 p.m., at Drake & Son Funeral Home, 5303 N. Western avenue. Entombment Rosehill mausoleum. Visitation Sunday after 6 p.m. 561-6874.1 According to the Social Security Administrations Death Index Gerard's last known residence was Chicago, Cook County, Illinois.3
