Jacob Gerritsz van Doese was born on 6 May 1774 at Egmond aan Zee, Netherlands.1 He married, at age 28, Engeltje Klaas Gul, age 31, daughter of Klaas Cornelisz Gul and Lena Jans Min, on Sunday, 24 April 1803 at Egmond aan Zee, Netherlands.1 Jacob Gerritsz van Doese died on 18 March 1805 at Egmond aan Zee, Netherlands, at age 30 years, 10 months and 12 days.1
