Sofie Pauline Scholder was born on 16 September 1821 at Sulz am Neckar, Oberamt Sulz, Schwarzwaldkreis, Württemberg.1 She was the daughter of Jacob Daniel Scholder and Wilhelmine Magdalene Krug.1 Sofie Pauline Scholder married Johann Adolf Buhler, son of Johann Melchior Buhler and Katharine Philippine Wenderlin, in 1852.1
