Marvin A. Ludtke was born on 14 August 1912.2 He married Ida Ruth Wein, daughter of Christian Stephan Wein and Emma Linck, circa 1932.3,1 Marvin A. Ludtke died on 28 January 2004 at Sun Dial Manor, Bristol, Day County, South Dakota, at age 91 years, 5 months and 14 days.3,2 He was buried on 31 January 2004 in the Webster Cemetery, located in Webster, Day County, South Dakota. The funeral service was officiated by Reverend William Olsen.3
His obituary was published on 30 January 2004 in the Argus Leader, printed in Sioux Falls, Minnehaha County, South Dakota. His obituary stated:
Webster - Marvin Ludtke, 91, of Webster, died Wednesday, Jan. 28, 2004 at Sun Dial Manor in Bristol. His funeral will begin at 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 31, 2004 at St. John's Lutheran Church, Webster, with Rev. William Olsen officiating. Burial will be in the Webster Cemetery. Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at the Fiksdal Funeral Service in Webster and continues prior to the service at the church Saturday. Survivors include his wife, Ida, Bristol son, Rolfe (Linda) Ludtke, Webster 2 daughters: Julane (David) Sorenson, Brandon, Gretchen (Dan) Syhre, Denver, a brother, Roy, Loveland, CO sister, Esther (Carl) Naessig, Webster and 7 grandchildren.3 According to the Social Security Administrations Death Index Marvin's last known residence was Webster, Day County, South Dakota.2
