Maria Rosina Linck

     Maria Rosina Linck was born on 23 January 1860 at Balingen, Oberamt Balingen, Schwarzwaldkreis, Württemberg.¹ She was the daughter of Erhard Linck and Ursula Hengstler.¹ Maria Rosina Linck first married Christian Nufer circa 1883.¹ Maria Rosina Linck married a second time, at age 37, Henry Buehl in March 1897 at New York City, New York County, New York.¹ Maria Rosina Linck died on 10 May 1928 at New York City, Middle Village neighborhood, New York County, New York, at age 68 years, 3 months and 17 days.¹ She was buried on 13 May 1928 in the Lutheran Cemetery, located in New York City, New York County, New York.¹
     Maria Rosina Linck was also known as Rosa.¹ Her obituary was published on 19 May 1928 in the local paper, printed in New York City, New York County, New York. Her obituary stated:

     MRS. ROSA BUEHL LAID AT REST IN LUTHERAN CEMETERY

     On Thursday, May 10, 1928 Mrs. Rosa Buehl, mother of William C. Nufer, well known Bushwick musician, died suddenly at her home, 65-32 Admiral St., Middle Village, after an attack of acute indigestion.

     She was in her 69th year and is survived by her husband Henry, two sons, William C. and Christian Nufer, and a daughter, Frieda Hunt.

     Services were conducted at her late residence at 2:15 p m Sunday, Mother's Day, by the Rev. A. B. Rhinow of the Ridgewood Presbyterian Church. Interment was at Lutheran Cemetery where a short service was also held at 3 p.m. by Rev. Rhinow.

     Floral tributes of sympathy were received from friends of the family, employees of Borden's branch in Manhattan, where one son Christian is employed as foreman; Grand Central Station postal employees, where the other son William C. is employed as special clerk; New York Post Office Clerk's Band of which he is a charter member, and the P O Club Orchestra, which he organized recently.

     The family extends sincere thanks to the organizations and friends for their tokens of sympathy.¹
