Nancy Rowland was born on 20 December 1819 at Canton, Stark County, Ohio.3,2 She was the daughter of Jacob Rowland and Elizabeth Bachtel.3 Nancy Rowland married, at age 23, Henry Scholder, age 26, son of John Scholder, on Thursday, 26 October 1843 at Stark County, Ohio, by the Reverend Henry E. Melsheimer who was a German Evangelical Lutheran minister.4 Nancy Rowland died on 8 March 1894 at Massillon, Stark County, Ohio, at age 74 years, 2 months and 16 days.3
