Katharina Fode was born on 6 July 1873 at Alt Posttal, Bessarabia, Russia.1 She was the daughter of Gottfried Fode and Katharina Mueller.1 Katharina Fode first married, at age 18, Gottfried Dittus, age 23, son of Andreas Dittus and Christina Haag, on Saturday, 23 January 1892.1 Katharina Fode married a second time Gottlieb Dittus, son of Johannes Dittus and Katharina Sept, circa 1903.1 Katharina Fode died after 1911 at Alt Posttal, Bessarabia, Russia.1
