Gottfried Fode was born on 9 October 1870 at Alt Posttal, Bessarabia, Russia.1 He was the son of Gottfried Fode and Katharina Mueller.1 Gottfried Fode married, at age 24, Pauline Dittus, age 19, daughter of Andreas Dittus and Christina Haag, on Saturday, 17 November 1894 at Tarutino, Bessarabia, Russia.1 Gottfried Fode died on 20 April 1913 at Alt Posttal, Bessarabia, Russia, at age 42 years, 6 months and 11 days.1
