Reinhold Dittus was born on 30 July 1901 at Fredonia, Logan County, North Dakota.1,2,3 He was the son of Jacob Dittus and Christina Vetter.2 Reinhold Dittus married, at age 23, Helen Suko, age 17, daughter of Samuel Suko and Karolina Schlecht, on Wednesday, 18 March 1925 at Fredonia, Logan County, North Dakota.2 Reinhold Dittus died on 10 September 1997 at Wishek Nursing Home, Wishek, McIntosh County, North Dakota, at age 96 years, 1 month and 11 days.1,2,3 He was buried on 16 September 1997 in the Nazareth Congregational Cemetery, located in Fredonia, Logan County, North Dakota.1
Reinhold Dittus was also known as Reinhart.2 He appeared on the census of 14 January 1920 in the household of Jacob Dittus and Elizabeth Guggenheimer at Nordly Township, Logan County, North Dakota. Reinhold Dittus and Helen Suko appeared on the census of 11 April 1930 at Haag Township, Logan County, North Dakota. His obituary was published on 13 September 1997 in the The Bismarck Tribune, printed in Bismarck, Burleigh County, North Dakota. His obituary stated:
WISHEK -- Reinhold Dittus, 97, Wishek, died Sept. 10, 1997, in the Wishek nursing home. Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Nazareth Congregational Church, Fredonia, with burial in the church cemetery.
He is survived by two sons, Hilbert, Lodi, Calif., and Lee, Vancouver, Wash; and one brother, Fred, Jamestown. (Dahlstrom Funeral Home, Wishek).1 The Social Security Death Index gives the last residence of record for Reinhold as Kulm, La Moure County, North Dakota.3
