     Helena Maria Catharina Degenaar was born on 19 May 1896 at Rotterdam, Netherlands.1 She was the daughter of Hermanus Johannes Degenaar and Lena Maria Sluijter.1 Helena Maria Catharina Degenaar married, at age 24, Jan Brouwer, age 25, son of Marinus Brouwer and Maartje Mahlener, on Wednesday, 27 April 1921 at Rotterdam, Netherlands.1 Helena Maria Catharina Degenaar died on 26 February 1963 at Rotterdam, Netherlands, at age 66 years, 9 months and 7 days.1 She was buried on 2 March 1963 in the Saint Barbara Cemetery, located in Amsterdam, Netherlands.1
     Helena Maria Catharina Degenaar also went by the name of Lena.1
